PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing body stop device of an opening/closing device which can stop the closing movement of the opening/closing body even if an obstacle abuts on any point in a width direction of the opening/closing body which is large in a width dimension.SOLUTION: This opening/closing body stop device is a shutter curtain stop device of a shutter device in which a mechanical connection device is arranged in a shutter curtain 1 being an openable/closable and movable opening/closing body, the shutter curtain 1 and a lock wire 36 being a string member are mechanically connected to each other by the mechanical connection device when the shutter curtain 1 abuts on an obstacle 34 during closing movement, and thereby a tensioning force caused by the own weight of the shutter curtain 1 is made act on the lock wire 36. A plurality of mechanical connection devices 55, 555 are arranged at the shutter curtain 1 in a width direction. |
