PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional composition for water treatment and a water treatment method that inhibit generation of scale including silica-based scale and inhibit the corrosion of a metal coming into contact with water in water systems of various types of water for irrigation and drainage, and have an effect of inhibiting slime generation.SOLUTION: A composition for water treatment contains one or two or more selected from a specific polyhydric alcohol and/or a derivative of a polyhydric phenol, and a fatty acid monoamide, and one or two or more selected from a polymer of a monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and an organic phosphorus compound. |
