PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle equipped with an air resistance reduction device which reduces air resistance applied to a vehicle body during a travel and a method of reducing the air resistance of the vehicle such that the air resistance applied to the vehicle body can be reduced by obtaining constant air current straightening effect relatively easily with low-cost constitution without affecting rear vehicle body dimensions of the vehicle, and energy is thereby saved.SOLUTION: An air reduction device 10 has, at a corner part 3C of a side face part 3S and a rear face part 3R of a vehicle body rear part 3, a suction port 11 provided to the side face part 3S, an exhaust port 12 provided to a rear face part 3R, and a cross flow fan 13 which rotates on an axis of rotation in a vehicle height direction of a vehicle body 2 to discharge air sucked from the suction port 11 from the exhaust port 12. |
