An E-type iron core for an alternating-current contactor comprises a static iron core formed by stacking silicon steel sheets. End surfaces of three vertical columns of the static iron core are located on a same plane. A groove (12) is machined in an end surface of at least one vertical column among the three vertical columns. Bottom surfaces of the grooves are lower than the plane, and are used for reducing the contact area of a movable iron core and the static iron core when the movable iron core is attracted to the static iron core. In addition, a hollowed-out structure (1) is disposed on each silicon steel sheet, so as to reduce the weight of the iron core. By machining the grooves in the end surfaces of the vertical columns, the contact area is reduced, and therefore the objective of adjusting attracting force is achieved. By machining the hollowed-out structures on the silicon steel sheets, the weight of the iron core is reduced; the influence of the hollowed-out structures on the magnetic conductivity of the iron core can be compensated by adjusting parameters of a drive system and can also be compensated by adjusting widths of the grooves to change the contact area between the movable iron core and the static iron core, and normal use of the iron core is not affected. |
