PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge device capable of suppressing adhesion of ink mist to a nozzle surface.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device comprises: a liquid discharge head having a plurality of nozzle arrays 21 where a plurality of nozzles is disposed side-by-side and discharging droplets by a multi-pass method by a recording pass n times, where n is an integer of 3 or more, with respect to a work-piece; and a head drive section controlling drive of n pieces of nozzle groups 24 in each of the plurality of nozzle arrays 21 corresponding to the recording pass n times at a discharge duty upper limit value for each of the n pieces of nozzle groups 24 and controlling drive of the other nozzle group 24 at a discharge duty upper limit value not being maximum in the other nozzle array 21 including the other nozzle group 24 when controlling drive of one nozzle group 24 at a maximum discharge duty upper limit value in one nozzle array 21 including one nozzle group 24 in two pieces of nozzle groups 24 adjacent to each other among the nozzle arrays 21. |
