PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subject information acquisition device for suppressing an artifact that occurs when a probe composed of a plurality of oscillators arranged at different positions so as to direct a prescribed area measures a photoacoustic wave to visualize subject information.SOLUTION: A probe 102 having a second support 123 for supporting a plurality of first acoustic wave detection elements 211 for inserting a subject 101 into a first opening of a first support 121, and receiving an acoustic wave propagating from the subject to output a first reception signal such that the plurality of first acoustic wave detection elements 211 are directed to a prescribed area is provided. The first support 121 holds a plurality of acoustic wave detection elements 103 for receiving the acoustic wave propagating from the subject 101 to output a second reception signal and directs the plurality of acoustic wave detection elements 103 to a prescribed area. A first position control part 104 for changing a positional relation between the subject 101 and the probe 102 is provided.
