The invention relates to a pressure equalization element (10) for a housing, preferably for a lithium-ion accumulator, which housing has a membrane (14) which is connected in series to at least two parallel non-return valves arranged in opposition to each other, wherein, to form the at least two non-return valves, the pressure equalization element (10) has two valve plates (18, 19) which form at least one outlet chamber (20) and at least one inlet chamber (21), each having one entry opening (22) and one exit opening (23), wherein a valve membrane (24) having at least two valve dampers (28) is arranged between the two valve plates (18, 19) and wherein one valve damper (28) each seals the entry opening (22) of the at least one outlet chamber (20) and of the at least one inlet chamber (21). Pressure equalization elements can thus be very cost-effectively and logically implemented by means of very few components, avoiding loose components. The invention further relates to a housing, to a battery cell module, and to a motor vehicle.
