PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar energy utilization system which allows improvement of the conversion efficiency for solar energy.SOLUTION: A solar energy utilization system includes an artificial photosynthesis apparatus 10 having a catalyst which decomposes water on receiving sunlight, a first heat exchanger 20 capable of heat exchange between the artificial photosynthesis apparatus 10 and it, a heat storage apparatus 30 which stores heat by storing a heat medium, a heat medium circulation apparatus 40 which circulates the heat medium between the first heat exchanger 20 and the heat storage apparatus 30 to transfer heat and a controller 70 which conducts a preheating execution control of transferring the heat of the heat storage apparatus 30 to the artificial photosynthesis apparatus 10 when the temperature of the artificial photosynthesis apparatus is lower than a target temperature and the heat source temperature (temperature of the heat storage apparatus) and conducts a heat collection control of transferring the heat of the artificial photosynthesis apparatus 10 to the heat storage apparatus 30 when the temperature of the artificial photosynthesis apparatus is higher than a target temperature and the heat source temperature. |
