PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-wheel motor unit that allows a connection part with a link member of a suspension to be disposed inside a wheel by devising the connection part.SOLUTION: An in-wheel motor unit 10 has a housing 11. The housing 11 is connected to a lower arm 21 of a suspension 20. The housing 11 is composed of a housing body 11a and a lid member 11b. The lid member 11b is formed with a socket 12 for a ball joint 22. The socket 12 stores a ball part 23a of a ball stud 23 of the ball joint 22. Consequently, a connection part of the arm 21 and the housing 11 through the ball stud 23 can be made to approach in the direction of the center of a wheel 30, and thus, the connection part can be disposed inside the wheel 30. Additionally, kingpin offset can be made "0" in the suspension 20 to which the unit 10 is connected. |
