PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control unit capable of suppressing the generation of rattling noise.SOLUTION: A vehicle includes an engine and a continuously variable transmission 8. If a vehicle traveling state is a state in which a driving force of the vehicle and a traveling resistance are kept in balance, a vehicle control unit determines a target engine speed and a target engine torque from engine power calculated from a vehicle required driving force and controls the engine so that an estimated engine torque estimated from an actual engine speed and a measured intake air quantity matches the target engine torque (step S3). The control unit controls the continuously variable transmission 8 so that the engine speed of the controlled engine matches the target engine speed (step S3). |
