1. A method for supervising the consumption of a medical food in a patient, wherein the medical food comprises at least 60% pure EPA in any biologically assimilable form, the method comprising:
analyzing a blood sample using a frontend computer to determine the cholesterol, diglyceride and/or triglyceride levels in the blood sample; receiving patient registration data and a measure of the cholesterol, diglyceride and/or triglyceride levels in the blood sample corresponding to the patient at a backend computer via a network connection; extracting, with the backend computer, nutrition management data for the patient from the patient registration data and the blood data; determining, with the backend computer, dosage data from the nutrition management data, the dosage data including an amount of the medical food to manage a disease or condition for the patient; and sending the dosage data from the backend computer to a frontend computer via the network connection. |
