PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problem that a manufacturing technology for a solid oxide fuel cell is required, the manufacturing technology being capable of addressing a problem of an increase in an amount of cracks with the lapse of time.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a solid oxide fuel cell includes: a firing step of firing constituent members constituting a solid oxide fuel cell through high temperature heating to produce a semi-product in which each constituent members is joined; and an excessive cooling step of cooling the semi-product further to a lower temperature than a room temperature.
