PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sand sedimentation pond for settling sand included in received water where clogging at an open part can be prevented and the rolling-up of the sand while being sufficiently moved is suppressed.SOLUTION: A sand sedimentation pond for settling sand included in received water comprises: a transfer path 3 disposed at a basin bottom part, extended to a prescribed direction and accumulated with settled sand; a discharge port 7 discharging a fluid in a prescribed direction to the settled sand in the transfer path 3; a covering member 38 covering a part on an axis L extending in a prescribed direction from the center of the discharge port 7 from above; and a dust remover 2 blocking the passing of contaminants having a prescribed length or larger. The covering member 38 is apart from the top edge of a groove formation wall 30 by a predetermined distance or more. |
