PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device in a limp mode, capable of charging a secondary battery and a capacitor while protecting the secondary battery and the capacitor from a voltage generated by a motor in a limp mode actuated when a failure causes the stop of an inverter control.SOLUTION: A power management microcomputer 23 determines whether an input/output current to/from a secondary battery 6 and a capacitor 10 measured by an input/output-current measuring device 20 is equal to or lower than 0 A (step S6). If the input/output current is equal to or lower than 0 A, the power management microcomputer 23 monitors a reference voltage Vcc and the input/output current and transmits an instruction to an engine control microcomputer 22 to decrease an engine speed of an engine 2 (step S7). If the input/output current is higher than 0 A, the power management microcomputer 23 transmits an instruction to the engine control microcomputer 22 to increase the engine speed of the engine 2 (step S8). |
