PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-ionic surfactant that has high chlorine stability when allowed to coexist with chlorine agent, and also that has an excellent foaming-inhibitory effect.SOLUTION: Provided is a non-ionic surfactant characterized in having, at the terminal, a structure represented by a general formula (1).
