PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian protection air bag device which can suppress a hood from moving in a back side of a vehicle while an air bag is in an expanded/developed state.SOLUTION: A pedestrian protection air bag device 10 includes: an air bag case 24 disposed at the lower surface of a back end part 16A of a hood 16; an air bag 34 housed in an air bag case 24, expanded/developed to the back side of a vehicle by gas pressure generated by an inflator 26, and also provided with a center bag part 34A covering the front surface of a lower part 30A of a window sealed glass 30, and a side bag part 34B covering the front surface of at least lower part of a right and left pair of front pillars 31 in the expanded/developed state; and a hood engagement part 32 set to a portion facing, to the back side of a vehicle, a back end angle part 38 of the hood 16 at the side bag part 34B in the expanded/developed state and engaged or engageable with the back end angle part 38. |
