A method for checking a password in a fuzzy mode. The method comprises the following steps: (1) displaying a plurality of candidate information units in a hashed mode, information units of the password serving as candidate information units among the plurality of candidate information units, and the distance between graphic user interfaces where every two adjacent candidate information units are located at any moment is not larger than a default maximum value; (2) accepting setting of a relative position relationship between a target selection area and the candidate information units, so that the number of the candidate information units covered by the target selection area reaches two or more, and determining the plurality of candidate information units covered by the target selection area as a selected information unit set; and (3) comparing the information units of the password with the selected information unit set, and when the selected information unit set comprises the information units of the preset password, determining that a user selects the correct information units in the preset password. According to the password checking design achieved through the method, the fuzziness of plaintext expression and the usability of user operation are considered at the same time, and the advantages of being safe and reliable are achieved. |
