The present invention concerns the use of a polypeptide having deoxyribonuclease (DNase) activity for preventing or reducing redeposition of soil on an item during a subasequent cleaning or laundering process. The invention further concerns a detergent composition comprising a polypeptide having deoxyribonuclease (DNase) activity and a method for preventing or reducing redeposition of soil on an item during a subsequent cleaning or laundering process.
