PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact method to reliably contact a rear end edge of a workpiece to a top end surface of a back gage, and to provide a back gage.SOLUTION: In a contact method of a rear end edge of a workpiece to a workpiece contact surface 21F of a back gage body 21 provided in a back gage device in a press brake, workpiece guide means 41, which can be freely extended and retracted to/from the workpiece contact surface 21F of the back gage body 21, is provided in the back gage body 21. An upward and downward movement of the rear end edge of a workpiece W is regulated by upper and lower guide members 43U, 43L provided in the workpiece guide means 41 so as to guide and contact the rear end edge of the workpiece W to the workpiece contact surface 21F. |
