PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing device which can determine whether or not a paper loading amount loaded on a loading tray has exceeded an allowable loading amount of the loading tray with better accuracy than a conventional device, while suppressing a load applied to a device, in the case where a reflection type sensor is used.SOLUTION: A post-processing device 1 includes: a light emitting element 83; a light receiving element 84; a communication unit 104 for performing communication of data with an image forming device 2; a paper loading amount determination unit 103; and a determination value change unit 105. The paper loading amount determination unit compares a light amount of the light which the light receiving element has received with a determination value, and in the case where the light amount is equal to or greater than the determination value, determines that the paper loading amount loaded on a loading tray has exceeded the predetermined loading amount. The determination value change unit compares the light amount of the light which the light receiving element has received with a first threshold value, and in the case where the light amount is equal to or greater than the first threshold value, changes the determination value by using information regarding image formation which the communication unit has acquired. |
