PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible water stop joint for large subsidence in which an acceptable subsidence amount is increased without changing a structure and a material of a water stop and a fixing member of a flexible water stop joint of an existing specification, and to provide a seismic strengthening method of joints using the same.SOLUTION: A flexible water stop joint A for large subsidence is installed astride joints M between an end of the horizontal member C1 and the substantially perpendicular plane of the vertical member C2, in facilities containing a horizontal member C1 having a substantially horizontal plane and a vertical member C2 having a substantially perpendicular plane. The flexible water stop joint A for large subsidence comprises: a tabular raising member 2 installed at the end of the substantially horizontal plane of the horizontal member C1 and increasing a subsidence tolerance; a stretching water stop member 1 with one side edge in the width direction installed on a surface opposite to the horizontal member C1 of the raising member 2, and with the other side edge installed in the substantially perpendicular plane of the vertical member C2; a fixing member 3a for the horizontal member to fix the raising member 2 and the one side edge of the stretching water stop member 1 to the horizontal member C1; and a fixing member 3b for the vertical member to fix the other side edge of the stretching water stop member 1 to the vertical member C2. |
