<p>[Problem] To provide a cross-member configured so that a thrown stone is prevented from entering the cross-member from openings at both ends thereof in the width direction of a vehicle. [Solution] A cross-member (10) extends in the width direction (X) of a vehicle and has openings (11) formed at the ends of the cross-member (10) in the width direction of the vehicle. The cross-member (10) has: a cross-member body (20) having an inner surface (21) formed in such a manner that the cross-section of the cross-member which is taken at the ends in the width direction of the vehicle and which is perpendicular to the width direction of the vehicle is open in one direction; closure plates (30) disposed so as to close the inner surface of the cross-member body and joined to the cross-member body; and cylindrical spacers (40) provided in inner spaces formed at the ends of the cross-member body in the width direction of the vehicle by both the cross-member body and the closure plates, the cylindrical spacers (40) being joined to the cross-member body so as to form through-holes (41) extending in the direction perpendicular to the width direction (X) of the vehicle and to the direction (R) in which the cross-member body is open. Recessed sections (22) recessed to the inner surface side are formed at the ends of the cross-member body in the width direction of the vehicle at positions facing the open side of the cross-member body.</p> |
