<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable remote meter reading system capable of selecting and using a communication channel different from a communication channel using power line carrier communication between a master station and a slave station.SOLUTION: A slave station 10 acquires a power consumption amount in a consumer from a power meter 11. A master station 20 is capable of communicating with the slave station 10 to collect meter reading data acquired by the slave station 10 and notify an upper aggregation server 30 of the meter reading data via a communication network 51. A multi-hop communication is possible among nodes by using the slave station 10 and the master station 20 as communication nodes. In the communication between the slave station 10 and the master station 20, when the power line carrier communication becomes unavailable between any pair of nodes in a main route including the communication channel using the power line carrier communication only, a bypass including a communication channel using radio communication is selected. At least one of the nodes performing the multi-hop communication searches a sub route including the bypass before starting the communication in addition to the main route.</p> |
