<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronize all frames in transmitting a transport stream having capacity exceeding transmission capacity of a single carrier wave by using a plurality of carrier waves after dividing the stream and multiplexing it in the frames.SOLUTION: A transmitter 1-1 comprises: a frame/slot allocation unit 10 which determines the number of frames and frame positions in a superframe for each system on the basis of preset transmission speed information on carrier waves 1 to N, and determines the number of slots and slot positions in a frame in the superframe to which respective packets of TS 1 to TS M are allocated, on the basis of preset capacity of the TS 1 to TS M; a multiplexing unit 12 which multiplexes a multiplex frame header and the packets of TS 1 to TS M on the basis of slot allocation information, to generate the superframe for each system; and a QAM modulation units 13-1 to 13-N perform modulation by using modulation methods of the respective systems. The superframes of the respective system are transmitted using the different carrier waves 1 to N.</p> |
