<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation monitoring device capable of separation determination irrespective of a place to be used and an environmental change around a user. <P>SOLUTION: In a separation monitoring device for giving notice when it has determined that a master unit and a slave unit have been separated by letting the master unit a user holds and the slave unit attached to or held by a monitoring object of the user perform communication processing, the master unit comprises: reception level detection means for detecting a reception level indicating the strength of a reception signal in the communication processing at each prescribed time; a counter for counting a prescribed variation of the reception level; monitoring means for adding the counter if the reception level detected by the reception level detection means is lowered by more than a prescribed value compared to the reception level detected at the previous time, and for subtract the counter if it is raised by more than a prescribed value; and determination means for determining that the master unit and the slave unit are separated if the counting of the counter reaches at least a prescribed value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
