The present invention relates to a dual-band transceiver which uses a lower local oscillator frequency (LOF) in a wireless communication system (or a wireless LAN system) using a dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and is capable of covering the entire dual-band. The dual-band transceiver includes: a first low-noise amplifier which executes a low-noise amplification operation for a received wireless signal in a first frequency band; a second low-noise amplifier which executes another low-noise amplification operation for a received wireless signal in a second frequency band; a phase synchronization loop which generates the LOF to process the signals in the first and second frequency bands; and a frequency mixer which mixes the LOF generated by the phase synchronization loop with the wireless signal output from the first low-noise amplifier or the second low-noise amplifier in order to extract an intermediate frequency. The phase synchronization loop generates the LOF through a single voltage controlled oscillator.
