<p>A radio communication system for use in a network comprising a plurality of source nodes (2), which are information transmission sources, and a sink node (1) that collects the information, the source nodes (2) and sink node (1) having radio communication functions, if any source node (2) and the sink node (1) cannot directly radio communicate with each other, these source node (2) and sink node (1) being connected to each other by use of radio multi-hop. According to the radio communication system, the sink node (1) comprises a multi-polling control unit that requests the source nodes (2) to transmit information, while the source nodes (2) each comprise a polling response control unit that transmits the information to the sink node (1) in response to the request. The multi-polling control unit in the sink node (1) divides the source nodes (2) into a plurality of groups to spatially avoid radio interferences, selects all or some of the plurality of groups as divided, and sequentially performs, for each selected group, polling for the source nodes (2) in the group, thereby simultaneously or successively performing multi-polling.</p> |
