<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably detect a speed of a fixing belt for a long time and control the speed of the fixing belt within a desired speed range. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device 6 includes a fixing belt 62 stretched between a heating roller 60 and a fixing roller 61, and a pressure roller 63 that forms a fixing nip N with the fixing roller 61 across the fixing belt 62. In an area in a width direction of the fixing belt 62 outside an area to come in contact with a toner image, one or a plurality of apertures are formed at equal intervals in a moving direction of the fixing belt 62. A thermopile 65 as a temperature sensor is arranged close to the position where the aperture of the fixing belt passes. The moving speed of the fixing belt 62 is calculated on the basis of a change of temperature detection signal when the aperture passes the temperature detection area of the thermopile 65, to control the speed of the fixing belt 62 within a predetermined range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
