An optical glass includes, in weight percent: 15% to 36% of SiO 2 ; 13% to 31% of B 2 O 3 ; 4% to 27% of Al 2 O 3 ; 0% to 19% of Ta 2 O 5 ; 0% to 10% of ZrO 2 ; and 0% to 10% of Nb 2 O 5 ; wherein Ta 2 O 5 + Nb 2 O 5 + ZrO 2 ‰¥ 7.1%; and has optical constants including a refractive index n d between 1.54 and less than 1.61 and an Abbe number v d in the range of 50 to 57; and wherein ”P g,F that denotes the anomalous dispersion is -0.004 or less.
