The present invention relates to a lamp for a vehicle and, more specifically, relates to a lamp for a vehicle, which can prevent a driver in a vehicle on the opposite lane from being dazzled when the driver cannot detect the vehicle on the opposite lane, and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the lamp for a vehicle comprises: a lamp unit irradiating light to the front of a vehicle; a road information receiving unit receiving information on a road wherein the vehicle is driven; and a control unit controlling the amount of light irradiated to an opposite lane area by controlling the lamp unit in accordance with the received road information. |
