PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal die for molding a tire, in which method a casting production process using a transfer method is used, the production process can be abbreviated, generation of a casting defect of the metal die can be suppressed and dimensional accuracy of the obtained metal die can be enhanced.SOLUTION: The method for producing the metal die for molding the tire comprises the steps of: forming a rubber die 13 from an original die 11 having a tread shape of the tire by the transfer method; injecting a collapsible casting die material without attaching a blade 15, which is used for forming a sipe, to the rubber die 13 to form a collapsible casting die 14; planting the blade 15 in the formed collapsible casting die 14; and performing casting work by using the blade-planted collapsible casting die 14 to produce the metal die 18 for molding the tire having the blade. A foamable casting die material is used as the collapsible casting die material. |
