PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a negative electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of suppressing a generation of pinholes from which an active material is removed.SOLUTION: The method includes the sequentially executed steps of: preparing a first paste whose solid fraction is 60% or over by mixing a negative electrode active material, thickening agent, and water at temperature less than 40°C (A); preparing a second paste whose solid fraction is 60% or less by adding and mixing water and a binding agent to the first paste at temperature between 40 to 90°C (B); and applying the second paste onto a collector at temperature less than 40°C (C). |
