PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method which can provide an image having high picture quality in which feathering is suppressed.SOLUTION: The image recording method comprises: a first step of recording a ground layer 24 on a substrate 1 by using an ink composition for forming a ground layer; and a second step of recording a color image layer 25 on the ground layer 24 by using a process color ink composition, the second step being conducted in a state that a residual amount of a volatile component in the ground layer 24 becomes 5-50 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
