METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PACKAGING A LIQUID FOOD PRODUCT

The method involves injecting alimentary liquid that is supplied by a circuit connected to an injection head (18), into a recess of a preform positioned into a mold, so as to promote expansion of the preform inside the mold, where the mold defines a shape of a thermoplastic container. The preform is exposed to a sterilizing fluid supplied by another circuit connected to the injection head, where the sterilizing fluid is constituted by pressurized water vapor, paracetic acid or hydrogen peroxide. An independent claim is also included for a device for packaging a preset volume of alimentary liquid into a thermoplastic container formed from a preform.
