A valve-train assembly comprising a number of valves each having a valve stem 4 at least one main camshaft (20, fig.1) with a number of main cams 21 22, with at least one main cam corresponding to each valve. The valve-train also has a number of main rocker arms 6 with a main cam follower 9, and at least one auxiliary cam 23 24 on the main camshaft with at least one auxiliary cam follower 28 for each auxiliary cam. Wherein each auxiliary cam follower is movably arranged on a rocker arm between a first and second positions. A latch 13 is also used for locking the auxiliary cam follower in the first position, and an auxiliary camshaft with a selector cam is provided for each latch to control said latch. The latch may further comprise a pin which is engagable with the rocker arm at one end and urged into position by the selector cam at the other end. |
