<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain preferable image correction effect while suppressing an increase in throughput related to correction processing, in executing the correction processing for reducing printing unevenness. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a recording head having a plurality of nozzles for ejecting a recording liquid and forms an image by ejecting the recording liquid from the recording head to a recording medium. The image forming apparatus divides the recording head into a plurality of correction regions so that each of adjacent correction regions has an intricate shape (mixed region) on the boundary of the adjacent correction regions. The image forming apparatus divides the recording head into the plurality of correction regions for each of the divided correction regions, and then creates a correction parameter for the recording head for each of the correction regions, and based on the correction parameter, corrects an input-output characteristic for each of the correction regions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
