Disclosed is a method for regenerating refractories containing Al_4C_3. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for regenerating refractories containing Al_4C_3 comprises the following steps of: preparing refractories containing Al_4C_3; heating the prepared refractories to form cracks on the inside of the refractories so that high pressure steam penetrates therethrough; allowing the high pressure steam permeate through the refractories having cracks formed therein to cause flouring due to the volume expansion caused by chemical formula 1 below; grinding the refractories in which flouring has occurred; and removing fine particles having a particle size below 0.3 mm among the ground refractories. In addition, a step of decarbonizing the refractories from which the fine particles are removed can be included. Chemical formula 1 is as follows: Al_4C_3(s)+12H_2O(l) → 4Al(OH)_3(s)+3CH_4(g). |
