<p>A method and apparatus of supplying chemicals to an underwater location via a supply line 1. The apparatus comprising a supply means 14 for supplying a chemical mixture comprising at least two non-identical chemicals to the supply line with a 1st end at a surface location 13 and a a 2nd end of the supply line at a subsurface location, where a separation means 3 for separating the chemical mixture into its constituent chemicals A B C is incorporated. Storage for each of the chemical constituents may be provided at the subsurface location, along with a sensor or analyser to sense or analyse the composition. The separation means may comprise tanks, which may be singular, connected in series, in parallel. The separation means may comprise a centrifuge, distillation or filtration. The supply line may be located at a hydrocarbon extraction facility.</p> |
