<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device driver and a device driver device capable of improving operability and visibility of a user interface. <P>SOLUTION: A printer driver device as the device driver device stores a type of a first function included in a screen of the device driver. The printer driver device detects another device driver already installed in a computer (S4), and acquires a type of a second function included in the screen of the other device driver and arrangement information of the second function indicating an area where the second function is displayed on the screen of the other device driver from the other device driver (S11).
