<p>PURPOSE: A tablet containing acetaminophen is provided to effectively mask bitter taste of acetaminophen and to ensure excellent disintegration in oral cavity by adjusting the mixture ratio of sugar alcohol and starch. CONSTITUTION: A tablet contains a coated particle containing acetaminophen, and a rough particle containing sugar alcohol and starch with a particle size of 150-600 micrometers. The mass ratio of the sugar alcohol and the starch is 98:2-50:50. The coated particle is prepared by coating a particle with a coating agent selected among water insoluble cellulose-based saccharides, acrylic acid polymers, a copolymer of methacrylic acid and methyl methacrylate, a copolymer of methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate, and shellac. The tablet also contains a perfume and/or a sweetener. A method for manufacturing the tablet comprises the steps of mixing and tableting the coated particle and the rough particle.</p> |
