The device (1) has a polymeric tubular connection (20) mounted around a radially external connecting zone of a metal tube (10) having a circumferential boss (12) against which a sealing joint (13) is mounted. The connection is welded by an axially central portion (23) on radially inner face (22) on the connection zone. The connection is constituted of radially external end (24) and radial slip (25) mounted on the boss and adjacent end (14) of the tube to ensure sealing of the device to the fluid and confine a welding interface radially between the connection and the tube, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a sealed coupling device.
