The subject of the invention is an articulated box (1), notably for a false ceiling, and comprising: - a casing (2) comprising a frame known as the outer frame (4), formed of four sides (5), defining a quadrilateral, and on which an end wall (6) intended to be secured to a wall is mounted; an inner frame (3) formed of four section pieces (7) at the base of which a taut web (8) is attached; at least one articulated joint (12) connecting said inner frame (3) and said casing (2) so as to allow said inner frame (3) to tilt, and at least one fastener (11) to keep the inner frame (2) in a fastened, so-called operating, position, said inner frame (3) being mounted such that it can slide on the articulated joint (12). Said box is notable in that the articulated joint (12) is of the braked type allowing the inner frame (3) to be immobilized in any tilted position and comprises a hinge assembly (13) comprising a plate (131), a flange (132), a deformable mechanism of the deformable quadrilateral type made up of two articulated link rods (133, 134) and a braking means (135), said link rods (133, 134) and said braking means (135) being articulated to the plate (131) at one of their ends and to the flange (132) at the other. |
