<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder-containing external skin care preparation, which effectively uses a moisture retaining effect of hyaluronic acid and/or its salt and of a polymer having a phosphorylcholine residue, and which gives no dry feeling. <P>SOLUTION: The external skin care preparation in an emulsion form contains hyaluronic acid and/or its salt that may be hydrolyzed, and a powder surface-treated with a polymer or a copolymer having a phosphorylcholine residue. The preparation further contains a powder subjected to a hydrophobicity-imparting treatment.
