An arrester is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the arrester comprises: a housing of which one side is sealed by an insulation spacer connected to a high pressure electrode and of which the inside is filled with an insulation gas; a nonlinear resistance unit installed in the housing to be connected to a grounding electrode installed in the housing wherein a current flows in the nonlinear resistance unit when a predetermined high voltage or higher is applied; and a shield member connected to the high pressure electrode to surround a portion of the nonlinear resistance unit. The shield member has a shape corresponding to the shape of the insulation spacer. |
