<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device in consideration of deformation of a guide member for guiding a carriage. <P>SOLUTION: The recording device includes: a guide member for guiding a carriage having an ink ejecting recording head in a width direction of a recorded medium; an information processing unit for performing information processing in association with the relation between information on an attitude change of an angular velocity sensor and a position of the angular velocity sensor being moved on the guide member when the angular velocity sensor provided on the carriage is moved along with the carriage; and a control unit capable of controlling the motion of the carriage and adjusting the timing of ejecting ink from the recording head. The control unit, prior to start of recording, moves the carriage in a range facing the recorded medium (S2), measures the straightness of the guide member by means of the angular velocity sensor and the information processing unit (S3, S4), and adjusts the timing of ejecting ink based on the measured straightness of the guide member (S5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
