摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle traveling controller which: effectively prevents a situation in which a driver gets an odd feeling, and quickly; and accurately determines whether another vehicle in front of the driver's own vehicle has cut into the driver's lane. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle traveling controller includes: a front detecting means 1 which detects a running-ahead vehicle etc., running in front of the own vehicle; and a traveling control means 10 which executes following traveling control for following the running-ahead vehicle running in front of the own vehicle. The vehicle traveling controller also includes: a capturing means 8 which captures a moving object etc. taking a position in front of the own vehicle; and a cut-in determining means 9 which determines whether the moving object has cut into a traveling area of the own vehicle. When the moving object captured by the capturing means 8 moves laterally in a direction of approaching the traveling area of the own vehicle at a lateral moving speed equal to or more than a preset value, the cut-in determining means 9 estimates a position of the moving object after an elapse of a given time period, and if the estimated position is inside the traveling area of the own vehicle, the cut-in determining means 9 determines that the moving object is cutting into the traveling area of the own vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p>
