<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life heater with improved durability which can securely ignite fuel such as gas even when a temperature of a ceramic heater in fuel ignition is set relatively low. <P>SOLUTION: The heater includes an insulation base 2 and a resistor 3 buried in the insulation base 2, and is characterized in that unevenness 7 is provided on a side face of the insulation base 2. When the heater is arranged so as to have a main surface perpendicular to and a side face in parallel with a flow of gas, the flow of the gas passing nearby the side face of the heater is disordered and the gas flow in up to a rear face of the heater, so that a time of contact between the gas and heater becomes long. The temperature of the heater can, therefore, be set low and the life of the heater can be prolonged. Further, a drag to the gas increases, the gas and air are mixed by a generated turbulent flow to facilitate ignition, and the consumption of the gas can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
