The present invention relates to an outlet to which a plug is coupled for power connection. The outlet with a protection unit for preventing input of a foreign material and an electric shock of the outlet comprises a shielding member which blocks a foreign material from being inputted to a terminal hole of the outlet when the outlet is not used to prevent a short circuit in the outlet, and is elastically supported to the inside of a passage hole of a protection cap elevated in a socket to shield the passage hole while the shielding member comes in contact with the protection cap in order to prevent an electric shock due to abnormal use. |
