The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a curcumin-loaded solid lipid nanoparticle coated with N-trimethyl chitosan; a curcumin-loaded solid lipid nanoparticle containing palmitic acid, cholesterol, and TPGS, whose surface is coated with N-trimethyl chitosan; and a curcumin formulation for oral administration containing the curcumin-loaded solid lipid nanoparticle as an active ingredient. The curcumin-loaded solid lipid nanoparticle coated with N-trimethyl chitosan according to the present invention is stable even in an acidic stomach environment due to the coating, and thus enables the continuous release of curcumin from the intestinal canal even if orally administrated, thereby maintaining high curcumin concentrations in the blood. In addition, the curcumin-loaded solid lipid nanoparticle coated with N-trimethyl chitosan can deliver drugs into brain tissues by transmitting through the blood-cerebral barrier, and thus may be usefully utilized as a formulation for oral administration for the treatment of brain diseases such as Alzheimer′s, brain glioma, etc. as well as cancers. |
