<p>In device identification apparatuses using current waveform measurement, a method for registering information relating to devices to be identified by a user is difficult to understand. Further, if a plurality of devices with the same energy consumption are present, the respective devices cannot be specified. A device identification apparatus is characterized by being provided with: a registration unit which associates current waveform patterns with the operation modes and use periods of two power-consuming devices and registers the current waveform patterns; a measurement unit which measures the current waveforms during a measurement period of the two power-consuming devices; and a control unit which, when the current waveform patterns measured by the measurement unit are the same pattern between the two power-consuming devices, specifies the operation mode of one power-consuming device the period of measurement of the current waveform of which corresponds to the use period registered by the registration unit.</p> |
